MY MEMORIES

Just before we left for Denmark, my aunt sent me a copy of my Danish grandmother's obituary. It stated that she was from Haderslev, which we then discovered was in southern Denmark. I had also found that my Danish grandparents met and married in the USA and that they were probably not from the same place in Denmark. So I had no idea where my Danish grandfather came from in Denmark.

In planning our trip we discovered that the airline allowed us two pieces of luggage each and that a bicycle dismantled and packed into a box could go as one piece of luggage. So every thing we needed for personal use for 14 days had to fit in the other piece of luggage. We booked the airline tickets and reserved a room at the Selandia Hotel just two blocks from the central train station in the center of Copenhagen.
